Kent and Medway Medicine asks for AAB/AAA incl. Chemistry or Biology, plus one of Chemistry/another science/Psychology/Maths/Computer Science at A-level, or 34 points with minimum grade 6 in Biology and/or Chemistry, and another science if both not offered in the IB. At GCSE: Six 6s incl. English Language, Maths and Science. Average of interviewees: 2,629/3600 (2023), 2,657/3600 (2024, lowest invited 2,470) and 2,651/3600 (2025, lowest invited 2,500). Predicted 2027 threshold is 1880/2700. Groups A and B need a minimum SJT Band 3; Group D needs Band 2.
Predicted A-level grades are not used to rank applicants here. That means a lower prediction is not a disadvantage at the shortlisting stage, provided you meet the minimum entry requirement. You still need to achieve the required grades on results day, so keep working to surpass your predictions.
Band 4 in the SJT is rejected. Graduate applicants need band 2 or better.

Kent and Medway runs a multi station interview of six short stations of seven minutes each plus one longer group station of 40 to 45 minutes. Stations cover professional knowledge, problem solving, compassion, role play, honesty and integrity, and a group activity. You are scored rather than ranked, usually on an average, though a very strong single station can be flagged for discussion. Home applicants interview in person at the Canterbury campus and you sign a non disclosure agreement. Check your invitation for current timings. KMMS ranks applicants for interview primarily by UCAT cognitive score. The 2025 cycle effective cut-off was around 2,540. Aim for 2,600+ to comfortably clear shortlisting; below 2,450 is high-risk.
Either Chemistry or Biology is mandatory at grade A. The second science can be Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths or Psychology.
MMI - seven stations of about six minutes each, run online via MS Teams for 2027 entry. Values-based questions on empathy and communication carry particular weight.

The school is a joint venture between the University of Kent (Canterbury) and Canterbury Christ Church University (Medway). Teaching is split between the two campuses, with clinical placements across Kent and Medway hospitals.
Resits are considered with mitigating circumstances. Achieved grades must still hit AAA at the resit attempt.

KMMS welcomed its first cohort in September 2020. It is one of the newest UK medical schools and received full GMC approval to award primary medical qualifications following its first cohort's graduation.
