You can book a mock interview for dentistry, either for one or two hours, with a tutor from your preferred university. They have gained this expertise through years of experience analyzing dental school interview questions, personal experiences as interviewers, attending various courses and reading books on communication skills and professionalism, as well as being interviewed themselves!

Day 1 Topics

Day 1 of our Dentistry Interview Course is jam-packed with interactive seminars covering the following topics:

Did you know there’s a correct way to introduce yourself in dental school interviews? Don’t worry, we’ll help you perfect your interview introductions!

Despite having a solid foundation on a subject, students can miss out on scoring well on interview questions due to their answers lacking proper technique and structure. Our teachers will guide you to perfecting your structure so you don’t end out waffling during your interviews. We’ll have some students come up and demonstrate for the group as well – this can be nerve-wracking but it’s incredibly beneficial, and you’ll leave our course ready to impress your interviewers!

At times, it can be difficult to decipher what the interviewer is asking, and students often answer a different question than the interviewer intended. Our Dentistry Interview Course covers common “buzzwords” that will help you identify what a question means each time.

The way you communicate verbally and non-verbally is crucial when it comes to dental school interviews. In our live course, we’ll teach you the skillsets needed to help you establish the communication skills expected of a dental student and ensure that all of your best qualities shine through.

Our course covers everything you’ll need to know about dental ethics and will equip you to continue studying in your own time if you wish.

We’ll brief you on all of the current hot topics in dentistry, saving you time from excessively going through news articles. We’ll also send you off with a reading list, as recent news often comes up in interviews.

If you really want to impress your interviewers with your dedication to the field, you’ll need to know about the NHS. Our Dentistry Interview Course will teach you everything you need to know about the NHS and how it runs.

Many MMI and interview questions are commonly repeated in interviews, though they’re occasionally worded differently. We’ll ensure you’re well prepared for all of these!

Day 2

Putting what you’ve learned to practice

Most students do great until it’s time to put what they’ve learned to practice – this is why we heavily focus on the practical elements of dentistry interviews by conducting a realistic simulated MMI circuit on Day 2 of our course. The MMI circuit allows you the rare opportunity to practice different interview stations in real time, and is examined by interviewers and actors who are all medical/dental students and doctors, providing you with the most authentic experience to prepare you for your dentistry MMI/interview(s). This is a learning experience – we don’t expect you to be perfect at this stage, but to use this experience to improve your skills. Each station is accompanied by carefully curated feedback that will help you fine tune your interview skills.

MMI circuits will likely cover the following station types, but these may vary:

  • ESSAY QUESTION
  • ROLEPLAY
  • COMMON QUESTION
  • SITUATIONAL JUDGEMENT
  • ETHICS
  • PERSONAL STATEMENT
  • UNCOMMON/”WEIRD” QUESTION
  • GDC QUESTION

All of our students will be given a copy of our interview ebook, full of insightful material and dentistry and medicine interview/MMI practice questions. You’ll also receive a very warm welcome to the MedicHut Family!

The majority of our live courses are held online through Zoom. The MedicHut Team has worked endlessly to provide our students with the finest online learning environment to match our in-person courses. Our online courses have received excellent feedback since their launch. If you have any questions about how this class will run online, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We also conduct some dates for our interview course in-person. These are typically held in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Newcastle.
