What UCAT score do I need for Ulster 2027 entry?

Ulster ranks applicants by UCAT total score, with NI-domiciled applicants ranked separately from GB and international pools. Recent-cycle guidance suggests an effective cut-off of around 2450-2550 (out of 2700 for 2026 entry) with a satisfactory SJT band (typically 1-3). Aim as high as you can.

Does Ulster Medical School use the GAMSAT?

No - Ulster uses the UCAT, not the GAMSAT. Applicants must sit the UCAT in the same year as their UCAS application.

Do I need a specific degree subject to apply to Ulster?

No - Ulster welcomes graduates from any degree subject, provided you have (or are predicted) at least a 2:1 honours degree. Non-science graduates are considered on the same footing as science graduates.
