Birmingham Medicine Interview Questions

Free practice questions for the Birmingham medicine interview, with the interview format taken from the university's own admissions pages.

Birmingham interview format

Birmingham uses an MMI of six or seven stations, each eight minutes long including two minutes of preparation, mixing interviews, role play and calculation tasks. Home applicants attend face to face at the Medical School in Birmingham and international applicants interview online on Zoom, with at least two stations including a role play and a separate online calculations assessment on another date. Stations cover critical thinking, commitment and insight into medicine, personal and ethical challenges, professionalism, data interpretation and debate, interaction in a healthcare setting and calculations. Offers are based on interview performance and your SJT score only, with all stations and the SJT equally weighted, and a minimum standard may be set for each station.
