Oxford Medicine Mock Interview

1 to 1 Oxford medicine mock interview in the Oxbridge academic panel format Oxford uses. Recorded session, written feedback, from £69. Book within 48 hours.

What format is the Oxford medicine interview?

Oxford says all shortlisted applicants are invited to online interviews in December. Each candidate is interviewed by two colleges, their college of preference or allocation plus one assigned at random, with panels arranged so everyone is seen by at least one practising clinician. Interviewers give you unfamiliar data, graphs or scenarios and work through them with you. As a general characteristic the Oxford interview leans on academic problem solving rather than classic ethics stations, role play or tight station timings, though this varies by college and no question type is ruled out. Shortlisting gives equal weight to GCSEs and the UCAT cognitive score, the SJT is not used at shortlisting, and tutors then individually review applicants who were not shortlisted for contextual and extenuating circumstances. The practice you need is supervised problem solving under questioning.

How Oxford selects for interview

Shortlisting is UCAT and GCSEs weighted 50:50, followed by a holistic college-based panel interview and tutor review.

Mean UCAT: all applicants 2217.5, shortlisted 2377.5, offer holders 2407.1. By school type: independent 2433, state 2390, international 2558. A score of 2350+/2700 is genuinely strong here.

Typical academic offer: A*AA incl. grade A in Chemistry and at least one of Biology/Physics/Maths/Further Maths, taken in the same academic year (2027 entry data).
