What format is the Chester medicine interview?

Chester runs a four year graduate entry MBChB and interviews by MMI. Chester publishes six stations with a total interview time of about an hour and a half, and says two trained assessors score each station against the Good Medical Practice domains, with clinicians, academics, current students and lay assessors on the panel. Station content changes each year. Shortlisting uses a minimum threshold in the UCAT, GAMSAT or MCAT, set annually above the national mean, so no fixed number can be quoted in advance. Chester also requires at least 70 hours of healthcare relevant experience within the last three years, with a hands on care role plus shadowing, and a maximum of 10 of those hours from an online course, which is one of the most common reasons applications fall over here.

All figures below are converted to the 2027 entry scale of 2700. 2024 intake, rescaled: lowest score invited to interview 1853 (was 2470/3600), mean interview UCAT 2024 (was 2698/3600), mean offer UCAT 2031 (was 2708/3600). The graduate route threshold of 2540/3600 is 1905 on the 2700 scale, with 570 in Verbal Reasoning, or GAMSAT, or MCAT 505 (min 127 CARS, no section below 125).
