1 to 1 Aberdeen medicine mock interview in the MMI circuit format Aberdeen uses. Recorded session, written feedback, from £69. Book within 48 hours.
What format is the Aberdeen medicine interview?
Aberdeen runs a modified MMI lasting about an hour, held in person at the Suttie Centre on the Foresterhill campus, with two assessors per station who score content and communication separately. Aberdeen says no academic or scientific knowledge is tested, and that your personal statement can be used as a discussion prompt. Stations are marked on how clearly you express ideas, how you use what you already know, whether you build a reasoned argument, how well prepared you are, whether you weigh both sides, and your motivation, reflection and sensitivity. Selection is weighted 30 per cent academic, 20 per cent UCAT and 50 per cent interview, so the day itself decides most of the outcome. Exact 2027 interview dates are usually published in autumn 2026; the last published window was mid December with a spring date for Gateway applicants.
How Aberdeen selects for interview
Interview selection is 60% academics + 40% UCAT ranking. Offers are 50% interview, 30% academics, 20% UCAT.
No published cut-off. 2026 entry: lowest invited 1700 (Scottish), 1720 (RUK), 1730 (International). Strong academics can offset a mid UCAT.
Typical academic offer: AAA incl. Chemistry + one of Biology/Maths/Physics + one other, at first sitting (2027 entry data).
