What format is the Leeds medicine interview?

Leeds runs an MMI. Leeds publishes eight stations for Medicine and Gateway to Medicine, each station lasting 6 minutes with one interviewer, plus 2 minutes of reading time outside the station to prepare and make notes. Leeds asks candidates to be familiar with their UCAS personal statement and what they have done to prepare for their application, so expect questions drawn from those experiences. For 2027 entry, home applicants interview face to face on 4, 5 and 6 January 2027 and overseas applicants interview online. Shortlisting combines academic criteria, both achieved and predicted grades, with the UCAT to give an overall ranking, and there is no pre-set UCAT cut-off, so a strong academic score can offset a lower UCAT and the other way round. After interview, offers depend entirely on interview performance, which makes mock practice unusually high value here. Leeds marks against defined domains, so a clear framework in every answer is worth more than extra content.
