What format is the Keele medicine interview?

Keele publishes an interview stage for 2027 entry but not a full public station breakdown. Its most recent applicant guidance describes two separate interviews of about 15 minutes each, held online on Microsoft Teams a couple of hours apart, with reading material set before each one, rather than a fast station circuit. That means longer answers and more depth per question than a five minute station. Shortlisting scores UCAT and the personal statement together out of 25, with a Home UCAT minimum of 1,700 out of 2,700, an international minimum of 1,950, and SJT Band 4 rejected. Interviews run December to April on a rolling basis. Our mock runs both interview slots with pre reading, so you practise the format Keele actually uses.

How Keele selects for interview

UCAT total score plus personal statement assessment, so a strong personal statement can help compensate for a borderline UCAT. International applicants are shortlisted purely by UCAT rank within the international cohort.

Home applicants scoring below 1700 are not considered; international applicants need 1950 or higher. SJT must be Band 1-3. Shortlisting then uses a combined UCAT plus personal statement score out of 25 (the 2025 threshold was 15/25).

Typical academic offer: AAA incl. Biology or Chemistry + one other Science/Economics/Maths/Psychology (AAA also achievable via A*AA with A in EPQ, international: A*AA/AAA + EPQ grade A) (2027 entry data).
