1 to 1 Cardiff medicine mock interview in the MMI circuit format Cardiff uses. Recorded session, written feedback, from £69. Book within 48 hours.
What format is the Cardiff medicine interview?
Cardiff runs an MMI, in person for home fee status applicants and online for overseas fee status applicants for 2027 entry. Cardiff publishes that predicted grades are not considered at any stage of selection, which changes how you should pitch your academic story. There is no minimum UCAT threshold, but UCAT deciles are combined with GCSE deciles in selection, and Cardiff may apply a UCAT cut-off to shortlist further if too many applicants share top academic scores. Expect values, ethics, communication and motivation stations, and questions about healthcare in Wales.
How Cardiff selects for interview
Applicants are ranked on an academic score (GCSEs out of 27 plus A-level and degree points). UCAT is only applied as a tie-breaker when too many applicants score highly.
Cardiff publishes no fixed cut-off and confirmed it used none in the 2025 cycle. Home average invited was ~2056 (2025) and ~2024 (2024); the lowest home applicant invited scored just ~1525. A UCAT of 2000+ with a grade 8-9 GCSE profile stays competitive.
Typical academic offer: AAA incl. Biology or Chemistry + a second science (Chemistry/Biology/Maths/Physics/Psychology) (2027 entry data).
