What format is the Anglia Ruskin medicine interview?
Anglia Ruskin runs an MMI of six stations, seven minutes each, with one minute of reading time outside every station, held in person at the School of Medicine in Chelmsford. Actors are used in some scenarios. Each station is scored on three domains, quality of answer, the skills and qualities you show, and communication, each out of five, so 15 marks a station and 90 in total. Offers are made purely on MMI ranking, which is unusual, so nothing before the day can carry you. No academic knowledge is tested, and the personal statement is not scored, though you should be able to discuss it. The last published window ran across early December and early January, with decisions by the end of March.
How Anglia Ruskin selects for interview
Once academic minimums are met, applicants are ranked purely on total UCAT. Regional and WP uplifts are applied to the score.
2026 cut-offs: 2010 main, 1960 East of England, 1920 Essex/WAMS, 1830 Essex + WAMS. Uplifts: +5% WAMS, +5% Essex, +2.5% East of England. For 2027 the guide calls ~1993 safe on the main route (1943 East of England), with a predicted mean of 2060.
