Hertfordshire Medicine asks for AAA including Chemistry and Biology (or Human Biology) at grade A plus a third A-level at grade A. Any third subject accepted (including arts and humanities) except General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives. Grades must be achieved in one sitting across a maximum of two years at A-level, or 36 points overall with HL 6 in Chemistry or Biology and HL 5 in a second science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or Mathematics. in the IB. At GCSE: Minimum five subjects at grade 6/B or above including English, Maths and Double Science (or equivalent).
