What you will learn

  • How the three UCAS questions for 2027 entry fit inside 4,000 characters
  • Skills versus qualities, and how to evidence the ones you claim
  • Which experiences to include, and how to reflect on them with the PREE method
  • Weak and strong versions of the same lines, plus what to leave out
  • How a personalised personal statement review and 1-to-1 tutoring work
  • Live Q&A to ask about your personal statement

What the webinar covers

The 2027 UCAS format

Three questions, 4,000 characters in total, minimum 350 characters per answer. We explain a workable split of roughly 25, 35 and 40 percent across the three answers.

Skills, qualities and experiences

How to choose the handful of skills and qualities you can actually evidence, and which work experience, volunteering, jobs and hobbies belong in your answers.

Writing and structure

The PREE method for turning an experience into reflection, active versus passive experiences, useful language, and how to cut characters without losing meaning.

Live examples

Weak lines and strong lines side by side, with what to change and what to leave out of a medicine personal statement.

Getting your draft reviewed

How our personal statement review gives you line by line personalised feedback in 72 hours, and how 1-to-1 tutoring works from blank page to final draft.

Live Q&A

Ask Hamd about your own draft, your timeline, or which support option fits where you are.

What the webinar covers

For 2027 entry, the UCAS personal statement is three separate answers inside one 4,000 character limit. Most drafts we read lose marks in the same places: a generic opener, work experience that is described but not reflected on, and claims the applicant could not defend at interview. This webinar shows you how to fix each one.

Question 1: why medicine?

We look at how to open with specifics rather than clichés, how to link your motivation to real experience, and why saying you have always wanted to be a doctor is not enough on its own.

You will see examples of answers that start strongly and answers that waste their first lines, with notes on what to change.

Question 2: your studies

Admissions tutors want to see how your academic work has prepared you for medicine, not just a list of subjects. We show how to turn a predicted grade or a project into evidence of scientific thinking.

The webinar also covers how to mention academic setbacks honestly without weakening your application.

Question 3: everything else

This is where work experience, volunteering, caring responsibilities, part-time jobs and extracurriculars belong. The key is reflection: what you did, what you noticed, and how it changed your view of medicine or dentistry.

We compare excerpts that list activities with excerpts that explain what the applicant learned, so you can see the difference.

Who should attend

The webinar is designed for anyone writing a medicine or dentistry personal statement for 2027 entry.

Year 12 and 13 applicants

If you are starting your draft, the webinar gives you a clear structure. If you already have a draft, it shows you where to tighten each answer before submission.

Dentistry applicants

The three UCAS questions are the same as medicine, and the structure, reflection and editing we teach applies in exactly the same way. The worked examples are medicine based, and you can ask about dentistry in the live Q&A.

Parents and teachers

If you are supporting an applicant, the webinar explains the new format and what admissions tutors actually read for, so you can give useful feedback without rewriting it for them.
